The season launches on The Insurance Apprentice YouTube channel on Friday, 19 February 2015. An episode will be aired every Friday thereafter, and each episode will present one of the five challenges the apprentices had to complete in their quest for victory.

The winner of the second season walks away with a study bursary from Inseta and a trip to Lloyds of London. Milpark School of Financial Planning & Insurance will also sponsor three apprentices to do an online course.

As a Gold sponsor of The Insurance Apprentice, Hollard got to design the fourth challenge and created a tricky risk assessment challenge at the factory of JustX Branding Solutions. Under the guidance of Hollard risk consultants Roger Ingram and Philani Mbanjwa, the apprentices were split into two teams to assess risks at the factory.

Their assessments were presented the next day to the two risk consultants, joined by this season’s judges – Hollard’s Justin Naylor, Price Forbes chairperson Theo Pauw and MMI Holdings group executive for brand and corporate affairs, Vuyo Lee.

“The talent this year,” Lee said, “is hungry, confident, with a nice balance of technical and leadership skills.”

And according to Naylor, this particular Hollard-sponsored challenge was well received. “They’re all thinking proactively about risk improvement, which is exactly what any good insurance professional should be doing – in the interests of both the client and broker. The big question is, will their insights be enough to successfully carry them through the task? Fans of The Insurance Apprentice will have to wait and see,” he teases.

To find out which team best presented the risks and most practical solutions, you have to stay tuned to The Insurance Apprentice YouTube page.

Although Hollard was present at the filming of this challenge, we are unfortunately sworn to secrecy, and cannot provide the results of the challenge, nor news as to whether or not there were Hollardites still in the running after the task.

All we can say is, stay tuned!
