So much so that it dwarfs the Free State dorpie of Bothaville, where it is held every year. Thousands of exhibitors – hawking anything and everything to do with agriculture, from seeds to multimillion-rand harvesters and much more – draw tens of thousands of visitors.
Agriculture is a priority sector for Hollard Insure, which means that from 14-17 May this year, we’ll also be at NAMPO.
“We’re very excited to be going to NAMPO this year, not least because we’ve developed the most innovative Agri insurance offering in South Africa since last year’s show,” says Andries Wiese, head of Agri for Hollard Insure.
“In fact, we’ve identified at least 20 product areas that we’ll be highlighting at NAMPO, which take into account the reality of the modern farmer – from high technology to professional liability and a lot more besides.
“Insurance is as important to a farmer as rains at the right time. We look forward to the opportunity to speak to farmers at NAMPO, to show them what we have to offer.”
But one thing that hasn’t changed continues Wiese, is Hollard’s enduring belief in the value of expert insurance brokers.
“In a high-risk sector such as agriculture, specialist brokers who know their customers and their needs have a particularly important role to play. The advice and insurance products they provide can be the difference between success and failure for a farmer,” he says.
“So we anticipate that we’ll be engaging with insurance brokers at NAMPO as well, and we relish the opportunity to show them exactly what we can offer our country’s farmers.”
