The fourth task involves competing in the hard-headed sharing economy. It sounds all benign and gentle, but this is an industry of quick wins and quicker losses. Does Foster have what it takes?

She has done well so far in the reality show-style competition run by the industry magazine FA News, which started with eight finalists pitted against each other. There are eight tasks in all, with the final episode to be aired on YouTube on 7 April.

Foster and fellow Hollardites Keith Bester and Palesa Bolofo were all part of the eight finalists, selected from 131 applicants, but Bester and Bolofo have been eliminated.

Judges Simon Colman, head of commercial liability at SHA, and Vuyo Lee, an independent insurance consultant, said the competition aims to attract strong young talent to the industry.

The fourth task will be showcased in a YouTube episode sponsored by Hollard, which is a Gold sponsor of the competition.

Durban-based Foster will have to battle the other five remaining contestants, some of whom will probably be her teammates, to stay in the running for the big prize. That requires a delicate juxtaposition of leadership and team-playing skills.
